India to sell stake in 2 state funded firms

NEW DELHI: The center has decided to sell 5 percent of its equity in Power Finance Corp and 15 percent in National Mineral Development Corp, Minister of state for power today said. S S Palanimanickam said that the government, in principle, has decided to list large, profitable state firm on domestic stock exchanges. However this will not include the nine crown jewels or Navratnas as they are popularly called.
