India invites more Korean investments

NEW DELHI: Expressing satisfaction over the steady bilateral trade with Korea, the government has invited Korean investors to take advantage of India's liberalised foreign direct investment policy to invest here. The bilateral trade had the potential to reach $5 billion from the current level of $2 billion, an official release said here today, quoting Commerce Minister Arun Jaitley. He was inaugurating investment promotion show 'Destination India - Seoul'. On the occasion, a MoU was signed by Jaitley and Korean Commerce Minister Yoon Jim-Sik to cooperate in investment promotion, it said. The fourth meeting of India-Korea Joint Trade Committee also took place which discussed India's increasing capabilities in agri exports, and the ways and means to facilitate Korean investment in India.
