Have dreamt of an elaborate wedding often but confused over the invitation cards? Well, elaborate invitation cards are not necessary when every detail about the wedding cant be sent out through a URL. Wedding websites are going to change the way weddings are planned by providing a customized domain wherein all the details of the marriage- from travel options to accommodation can be filled in. The basic service provided by the websites is free while the premium services, which have a web cast of the wedding, costs about Rs 50,000. Wedding websites are doing well in United States while the trend is catching up in India as well. US based websites like Ewedding.com and wedding window are well known for their wedding services. Indian companies too have started giving this feature in their websites a few months ago. However, people still use the free services that are offered by the US websites. Many of the software professionals said they preferred this innovative idea of inviting family and friends for the marriage rather than sending individual invites. The wedding website offers online RSVP, a guest book, family details, gifts wish list along with a password protection. Even photographs can be uploaded on the website. Some sites offer a Hindi version as well in a bid to attract the local audience.
