India adds 5M new mobile users in July

NEW DELHI: India, which is the worldÂ’s fastest growing wireless market, added over 5 million new subscribers in July, a newly released data showed. The data showed that the current subscriber base stands at 108 million. The Cellular Operators' Association, that has nine GSM carriers as its members said 3.93 million new subscribers were added last month while IndiaÂ’s top CDMA operator Reliance said it signed 1.1 million. Call rates at a measly 1 per minute is aiding the growth.
