The two sides recognized each other's strength - India's in software and South Korea's in hardware - and agreed to jointly work for mutual benefit. They also agreed to cooperate in the development of technology and human resources in the software sector, next-generation ICT industry, mobile communications and research networks, broadband infrastructure, e-governance, digital signature and cyber emergency response team (CERT). Promotion and facilitation of joint research, exchange of experts and professionals, encouragement of liaison with other government agencies, industrial, academic and professional organisations are other potential areas identified for cooperation. Another agreement was to organise technical exhibitions, seminars, symposiums and to have the India-Korea IT Cooperation Committee meetings on regular basis.
