San Francisco: The next time someone tweets, you will be able know the location of the person who has tweeted. This is possible after Twitter acquired a startup called Mixer Labs that has developed a location-tracking tool called GeoAPI. The financial details of the deal between Twitter and Mixer Labs, which is founded by two former Google employees, were not disclosed. Evan Williams, CEO of Twitter feels GeoAPI could prove helpful by showing where people are as they share what they are seeing or experiencing. San Francisco based Twitter has raised about $155 million from investors since it was founded in 2006. Currently, about 58 million people globally use the Twitter service to send the 140 characters tweets.
