ISA presents Technovation Awards 2011

Bangalore: The India Semiconductor Association (ISA), announced the winners of Technovation Awards 2011. These awards recognize innovation in technology companies in India and also honor visionaries in research and academics. Viswanathan Anand, Indian Chess Grandmaster and World Chess Champion felicitated the winners at the Awards ceremony. Poornima Shenoy , the president of ISA said "The awards are an important focus area of ISA to promote domestic entrepreneurship and recognize our product companies." The Technovation 2011 winners comprises of, for Consumer Electronics,Smart Box family of products,Suphalaam Technologies Ltd on the products 3G USB Datacard; Teracom Ltd. For Energy/Solar the winner is, Solar PCU; Su-Kam Power Systems Ltd .For Medical electronics winner is CIC101; Phoenix Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd on Device for detection of diabetic neuropathy; C.G.N Research Labs Pvt. Ltd For Telecommunications winner is TJ1600C; Tejas Networks Ltd. In other categories the winners include REVOLO Hybrid Electric Motor Solution; KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd. & Bharat Forge Ltd, for High Voltage Relay Driver ASIC for Space Applications; Bharat Electronics Ltd.Student category winner is Vikas Singh, IIT Madras for Low power wide band A/D converter. They have also specially mentioned about M K Narang for being a serial innovator. The other winners are, Prof. Rao R Tummala of Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, and Prof. Vikram Kumar, IIT Delhi. The former won the award for UKTI Techno Visionary Award while the next one is the recipient of the ISA-Webel Techno Mentor Award. E-Parisaraa, India's first government authorized electronic wasted recycling company was awarded 'The Start-up to watch'.
