ILP's 10th Annual Race for Literacy on May 4

California: In the contemporary society, our lives involve a lot of routine activities - running to work, running to meetings, running to pick up kids and invariably, running late. To give you an opportunity to explore the joy of running, India Literacy Project is conducting its 10th Annual Race for Literacy on May 4th, a full day sports event. Being conducted at Shoreline Park, 3070 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, California, the event will be an opportunity to participants to enjoy the onset of the Bay Area summer and the glory of nature, and help raise funds to create a 100 percent literate India. The race provides opportunity for a leisurely 5K walk along the bay at Shoreline Park, Mountain View with your family followed by a hearty breakfast. For the serious runners the event will have a fast paced, timed USATF certified course. Adding to the fun will be a bunch of activities that include separate races for the kids, painting supplies for the tots, a children's entertainer to regale the kids, Post-race hearty Indian snacks, raffles galore for those take home goody bags Those who register by April 15th will get a raffle for Bose Headphones. Participants who register by April 25th will take an advantage of a $5 discount for individual registrations and $10 discount for family registrations. In addition, those registering as a team (6 or more members) will have an opportunity to create customized team T-shirts.
