IIT-Bombay to conduct technology event in Orissa
Bhubaneswar: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay will conduct an event in Orissa's Rourkela this year to promote new generation technologies. The "Nexus-2009" will be held Oct 10 in the National Institute of Technology (NIT) campus in Rourkela, an official statement said Monday. Nexus is part of "Techfest" - the annual international science and technology festival the IIT has been organising since 1998 to promote robotics across the country. This year's event would focus on wireless communication technologies, IIT-Bombay's Techfest office said in the press release. "With the aim of introducing new technology among the masses, the competition at Nexus 2009 is based on the upcoming field of wireless communication," it said.
