IIHT expands in Middle East

Bangalore: Indian Institute of Hardware Technology Ltd. (IIHT), a hardware and network training company announced a strategic partnership with the Bahrain Institute of Technology (BIT) here today at Taj Gateway. BIT is a training division of Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) – a government of Bahrain enterprise. The new venture between IIHT and BIT aims to set up a state-of-the-art training centre in Bahrain as well as explore various business opportunities. It has invested about six million dollars in this partnership. “Most of the students who graduate from Bahrain Institutions are not upto the industry requirements. In this regard, the Government of Bahrain has expressed intense joy in this partnership and this technology program that is tailor made to Bahrain’s industry requirements,” says Keshava Raju, CEO of IIHT. Commenting on the alliance, Adel A. Al Safar, CEO, BIT said, “We are delighted to have a partnership with IIHT Ltd because of the comprehensive model in which IIHT will appoint Bahrain Institute of Technology (BIT) as its exclusive franchisee in the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide the industry high-level education in IT program that ranges from degree program to diploma in Information Technology.” Al Safar added that through this partnership, a 100 percent rise in the training of the students is expected. Last year out of 5,000 students, who graduated from Bahrain Schools, BIT has trained 1000 students. IIHT has 200 centers in India and will also station some of its faculties in Bahrain while majority of the operations will be taken care by BIT. It is also associated with Sikkim Manipal University that has launched a course in Infrastructure Management Services (IMS). In addition to that IIHT has recently launched TIME, a comprehensive program on IT IMS education and has imparted it across the globe, through its Global Learning Solutions Division (GLS). After having made its mark in infrastructure management services (IMS) training in India, IIHT is now looking at expanding its scope in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. IIHT has already set up 10 centres in China, where two centres are under joint venture partnership and has plans to increase to 100 centers within next three years. The IIHT-BIT relationship has been forged with the help of efforts of Economic Development Board (EDB) offices in India and Bahrain. The EDB is a dynamic public agency with an overall responsibility for formulating and overseeing the economic development strategy of Bahrain, and for creating the right climate to attract direct investment into the Kingdom.
