ICICI OneSource triples workforce to 2,175

NEW YORK: ICICI OneSource, one of India's leading business process outsourcing (BPO) services providers and a member company of ICICI Bank, India's largest private sector bank, tripled its workforce to 2,175 employees, during the fiscal year, ending March 31 last, the company has announced. This consolidates I-OneSource's position as one of the largest 'pure play' BPO providers in India, which currently dominates the global market for the delivery of offshore BPO services, it said. I-OneSource also announced plans to continue its aggressive recruitment and hiring campaign to staff new service facilities that will be established in India over the next 12 months to meet the growing demand for its customer contact and transaction processing services. I-OneSource primarily serves the banking, insurance, asset management and diversified financial services markets in the US and UK, drawing on its domain expertise in these sectors. The company currently handles upwards of 18 million voice and back office transactions a year. "We continue to make key investments in people, technology and process that will allow us to expand our value proposition in two meaningful ways," said Susheel Kurien, President of I-OneSource's U.S. operations. "First, we are enhancing our ability to manage entire, end-to-end processes where new levels of quality and cost benefits can be achieved. Second, in order to extend our client base beyond the U.S. and U.K., we are planning to deliver BPO services from facilities that we will establish in other regions of the world."
