New Delhi: IBM has signed a data centre agreement with iYogi, the provider of comprehensive direct-to-consumer and small business remote tech support. The implementation will enable iYogi to scale its hardware infrastructure to address the growing business demand for its remote tech support services across the globe. IBM's solution will help with a state-of-the-art and reliable infrastructure for iYogi's Global Delivery Platform to meet its requirements in the midst of rapid growth.
Ravi Neb, Vice President of Technology at iYogi said, "We are confident that our partnership with IBM will provide us with the competitive advantage we need to maintain our leadership position. IBM engagement with iYogi has been deep and thorough, right from understanding our business growth objectives to designing a customized solution that would help us, as we scale our delivery across multiple geographies and an exponentially larger customer base. I have personally enjoyed working with IBM's experts in designing and building this globally benchmarked, standardized, scalable and energy-efficient solution that will support our dynamic growth plans effectively."
The data center solution deployed by IBM will host iYogi's comprehensive set of applications and tools for tech support as well as its comprehensive knowledge base. iYogi's dynamic knowledge base grows with thousands of daily customer interactions, documenting every problem, solution and relevant hardware and software specs, while capturing each customer's demographic information and behavioral profile. IBM continues to command a strong leadership in the data center space and has built over 300,000 sq ft of raised floor data center space in the country. The company has already deployed data centers for over a dozen clients in India.
The agreement was signed in November 2009. Ashish Kumar, Vice President and General Manager, Global Technology Services, IBM India/South Asia said, "Today, it is imperative for companies across the board to have solutions that will help them achieve greater operational efficiency and save costs. iYogi's choice of IBM as a preferred IT infrastructure services partner re-affirms our undisputed leadership in this space and commitment to our clients' success. Our consultative approach, competitive pricing and understanding of the client needs puts us way ahead of other competitors. We leveraged all our capabilities to put forward a solution that meets iYogi's requirements."
iYogi has a customer base of more than 100,000 subscribers across four continents, and the company also provides thousands of incident sessions every day on a 24/7 basis. Over fifteen hundred global tech experts power iYogi's Global Delivery Platform along with its proprietary technology, protected intellectual property and highly optimized processes. The company's resolution rate of 87 percent is among the highest published benchmarks in the support industry, with a customer satisfaction rating of 95 percent.
