Hughes launches India's first broadband satellite VPN service

BANGALORE: Hughes Escorts Communications Limited (HECL), India's leading satellite service provider, today announced the launch of India's first Satellite-based Broadband VPN services on the DiRECWAY platform. The service, which delivers secure, true broadband connectivity across the country, is primarily targeted at connecting the remote sites of the enterprise, which include C&F Agents, sales offices, branch & remote sites as well as distributors. DiRECWAY Broadband Satellite VPN is a uniquely positioned to offer connectivity at broadband speeds of 256Kbps and 512Kbps as defined by TRAI in their recent recommendations. With this innovative service, every site in the network will get access to broadband. DiRECWAY Broadband Satellite VPN has the advantage of reach and ability to provide a high quality of service without problems of the last mile. The service would be priced in the range of 2,000 - 10,000 a month depending on the amount of data that would be transacted on the network.
