Hindustan Copper shares rise 10 percent

Bangalore: After having the healthy trading in latter part of the day, Hindustan Copper ended the trading among top gainers with gains of Rs. 52.95 (10 percent). The company opened its stock at Rs.531.70 and touched day high of Rs.582.65 and low of Rs.507. In all 1,718,356 shares were traded throughout the day with current P/E ratio at 776.87. The company has 52-week high value of Rs.656.95 and low of Rs.93. The stock chart for 52-weeks is given on left.

Hindustan Copper (HCL) is engaged in the manufacture and sale of copper. The company markets copper cathodes, copper wire bar, continuous cast copper rod and by-products, such as anode slime (containing gold and silver), copper sulphate and sulphuric acid. During the fiscal ended March 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the company's cathode production was 30,036 tons. In fiscal 2009, the company sold 35,714 tons of refined copper.
Other copper manufacturers also ended the trading in positive zone.
