Hexaware to hire 9,000 people in next five year

CHENNAI: With an investment of $79.54 million, Hexaware Technologies Ltd will construct a campus at Siruseri Information Technology Park, near Chennai. When fully ready the facility can accommodate over 11,000 employees, according to Atul Nishar, Chairman, Hexaware Technologies. The company plans to develop the campus in three phases. The first phase will be operational by the end of January 2007 and accommodate around 3,000 employees. An investment of $22.27 million will be spent in the first phase. The remaining two phases will be completed in five years, he added. At present, the IT and business process outsourcing company has the total staff of 4000 employees, of which 1,300 are in Hexaware's Chennai center. The new campus would provide job opportunities to over 9,000 employees in the next five years. “We expect consistent good growth over the next few years,” he said.
