Hexaware posts profit, sees business picking up

NEW DELHI :Hexaware Technologies posted a net profit of Rs 23.10 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2003 as compared to Rs 2.34 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2002. Total income has increased from Rs 25.01 crore in the SQ-02 to Rs 63.30 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2003. The consolidated result as follows: The group has posted a net profit of Rs 18.61 crore for the Quarter ended September 30, 2003 as compared to Rs 4.68 crore for the Quarter ended September 30, 2002. Total income has increased from Rs 68.02 crore in the SQ-02 to Rs 92.45 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2003. Outlook: Commenting on the performance, Hexaware CEO Rusi Brij said: "This has been a good quarter with all round improvement. Revenue from key clients is scaling up along expectations, order book visibility is improving and costs are being better managed. The business outlook for our company continues to be robust. “ The company is raising its global profit guidance for the full FY-03. Profit before taxes (excluding capital gains) will be US$ 5.75 mn including proportionate share of profit from Mentroix up to the date of sale.
