Hexaware mulls acquisition worth $25-$75 Million

Mumbai: Hexaware Tecnologies is planning an acquisition worth $25 million to $75 million in the infrastructure management or the BPO space, reports Reuters. "We would prefer to do this in an area where from an integration standpoint we don't face too many challenges, we would prefer operations which also have a good presence in India ," the report quoted P R Chandrasekar, CEO nad Vice Chairman, Hexaware Technologies, as saying. The company, which had cash and cash equivalents Rs 4.69 million as of September end, intends to fund the deal with internal cash accruals, he added. Hexaware has posted a quarterly net profit of 420.4 million on a consolidated basis, compared with Rs 413.5 million a year ago. Income from operations rose to 281.74 crore in the JulySeptember quarter, against 263.15 crore in the same period last year. The company has added 13 new clients during the quarter, taking its total number of active customers to 167 and 277 employees taking its total headcount to 6,308.
