Maharashtra: Helix Technology Solutions (HTS), an e-Learning company which creates computer based learning products for students, has launched its proprietary software LearnNext. This is a computer based learning aid for CBSE students to learn from the comfort of their homes without requiring internet connection. LearnNext content is designed to increase students' understanding of the subject. With use of 2D/3D animations, real life examples, experiments and extensive practice questions, it has a performance monitoring mechanism, which evaluate students and allow them to compare their performance at an all-India level. Also, parents can monitor their child's performance and take corrective actions. It does not require internet connection thus allowing a student the freedom to study wherever he or she wishes to, even while on vacation or an outing. Students also get their online account, which they can use to be part of forum discussion or even ask question to a panel of experts to resolve any queries they might have. According to the HTS representatives the software was aligned to the NCERT syllabus and guidelines. Compared to tuition, which costs about 500 per month, LearnNext is available at 999 per subject per year which is 83 per month. Also, according to the developers of LearnNext, the software has a number of interactive features, such as study planner - that makes a customizable timetable; a chapter-wise live lab wherein the students can conduct real-time experiments, and can assess themselves as well. Its performance tracker assists them by tracking their performance based on lesson coverage, examples, and experiments, which further help them in analyzing their weak areas. Commenting on the launch of LearnNext, Jai De Costa, Director, Marketing and Business Development, HTS said, "LearnNext offers value proposition for CBSE students from Class 6th to Class 10th, both in terms of learning as well as cost saving. It can completely transform a student's understanding of complex subjects like Mathematics, Science and Social Studies with the help of audio-visual support."
