Helios and Matheson net up, to recruit more staff

CHENNAI: Helios and Matheson Information Technology has reported a net profit of 5.35 crores in the third quarter ended December 2004. It is now looking at hiking its staff by 2000 by 2006. Announcing the company’s plans, Managing Director Muralikrishna said the company was looking at revenues of $100 million in the next few years. He also said the company will follow a dual strategy of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Speaking about serving customers in US by acquiring companies, he said the company was looking at companies who are into offshore development activities for US based clients. ‘H&M has integrated four companies over these years and the track record has given it the confidence to employ a growth-by-acquisition strategy to successfully enter several new arenas and strengthen the company's position in the global market, Muralikrishna said. The company, Krishna said, has acquired companies with presence in healthcare domain and any other acquisitions will be in similar areas and banking and insurance. Last year, the company had acquired Maruti Infotech Inc, USA and Jayamaruti Software Systems Pvt Ltd, Chennai and was looking at acquiring two more companies before 2006.
