Haryana to have American technology park

Chandigarh: A delegation of the U.S. - India Business Alliance (USIBA) has proposed to set up an American technology park in Haryana. The 16-member USIBA delegation met Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in New Delhi Monday evening, a government spokesman said here Tuesday. During the discussions, Hooda said the state government has planned to develop an industrial model township near Rohtak town, 100 km from Delhi, and a global industrial corridor along the 135-km Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway in the national capital region falling in Haryana. Hooda said Haryana was a major attraction for investment from global investors. He said that investment proposals of over 280 billion ($7.15 billion) had been received in the state so far.
