Hewlett Packard (HP) has merged its wholly owned Indian arm for software operations with Digital GlobalSoft, an IT firm in which HP holds majority stake.

NEW DELHI: The merger of Digital GlobalSoft with HP Services India Software Operations Private Ltd. (HPS ISO) will consolidate HP's global services delivery capabilities in India, said a company statement issued here. The merger is also aimed at strengthening HP's IT servicing capabilities by leveraging efficient cost structures and improving technical excellence, the statement added. "HPS ISO and Digital have complementary skills that when combined will boost the level of technical innovation and excellence accessible to our customers," said Rene Schuster, vice president (consulting and integration) of HP.
