Bangalore: Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced its entry in the Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) market by launching three models namely, T1000v (1KVA), T1500 (1.5 KVA) and R3000v (3 KVA). With the launch, HP has set its eyes on a five percent market share over the next two-three months. The software revolution in tier-1 and tier-2 cities has been the basis for its India-centric focus. India and China are the two countries where the products are being unveiled first, before proceeding to other markets. "The power supplies come in specific sizes, not to mention its other value added features such as temperature level monitoring and advanced server e-mail notification," added Ramachandran, National Product manager, Industry Standard Servers, HP India. HP has also accounted for a 33.9 percent of the market share in the x86 server segment in the third quarter(Q3) in India, which is its fourth largest market in the Asia-Pacific region.
