HDFC Bank posts net profit of 
15.95 Bn

Mumbai: India's HDFC Bank Ltd posted a net profit of 
15.95 billion ($398.7 million) for 2007-08 as compared to 11.5 billion of the previous fiscal.
The bank said Thursday in an official statement that total income in the year under review rose to 124.95 billion from 82.23 billion of 2006-07.
In quarter ending March 2008, the bank clocked a net profit of 4.71 billion as compared to 3.43 billion of the same period of 2006-07.
The total income for the quarter increased to 35.05 billion from 23.2 billion of the last quarter of the previous fiscal.
