HC Asks PSUs to Clear Illegal Occupation on Property

Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court directed the public sector units in Jharkhand to clear encroachment on their property by May this year.
Issuing the directions, the bench of Chief Justice P C Tatia and Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh observed that about 35,000 quarters or plots of the Central Coalfields Limited, Bharat Coking Coal Limited and Heavy Engineering Corporation were under illegal occupation.
The court, which had taken suo motu the encroachment issue last year, directed to serve notices to the Union departments of Coal, Heavy Engineering and Finance. The bench posted for the next hearing on February 29.
