HCL world's No. 1 infrastructure vendor

New Delhi: Indian software firm HCL Technologies has been ranked as the world's top vendor in the infrastructure space, a recent survey said. According to an annual survey by Brown-Wilson survey for "The Black Book of Outsourcing", HCL Technologies topped the list of 276 vendors, beating global and domestic majors like IBM, Accenture, HP, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Satyam. U.S. based Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) follows HCL at the second and third position. Five Indian companies made to the top-20 list, including Satyam (13), Wipro (14), Infosys (18) and Tata Consultancy Services (20). HCL Technologies also excelled in the sub-categories like on-site comprehensive, remote comprehensive and desktop support services and storage and servers. The infrastructure ranking was based on vendor evaluation across 18 points of infrastructure operational excellence like innovation, training, breadth of offerings, client adaptability, reliability, support and customer care.
