SUNNYVALE, CA: IT services company HCL Technologies Ltd. (“HCL”) today announced the signing of an agreement with General Electric Company. According to the agreement, HCL will set up and operate Global Development centers (GDC) in India and China for GE over the next 3 years. "We are excited about this partnership and will continue to deliver the near shore alternatives and LCC leverage to GE,” said Shami Khorana, President, HCL-America (a 100 percent subsidiary of HCL). According to Khorana, HCL’s flexibility and transparency in business models, and success with HR policies like ‘Employee First’ paved the way for the company’s selection by GE. “It leverages our vast domain and deep technology expertise,” said Ravi Reddy, Vice President and Head of Enterprise Consulting Services Division at HCL America. “Ajai Kumar, Relationship Manager for the GE Account, and all the employees of HCL look forward to adding value to GE’s development model,” he said.
