HCL acquires BPO centers in Ireland

NEW DELHI: HCL Technologies today announced the acquisition of a call center in Armagh, Ireland. The facility was formerly Answercall Direct Contact Center.
"In a £3.9 million deal, HCL Technologies through its subsidiary in Northern Ireland HCL Technologies BPO services (NI)Ltd, acquired the assets and business of AnswerCall Direct Ltd. from recievers Pricewaterhouse Coopers", a statement by the company said.
The statement said this acquisition establishes HCL's position as the single largest outsourced contact/BPO center operations in Ireland. This acquisition will add another 190 professionals to the company's Ireland operations and translates into an enhanced workforce of 1,800 people.
