KOCHI: Gulf Air has launched a dedicated holiday programme to India, targeted mainly at destinations in Kerala. Named "Indian Experience", the package would provide flexible packages so that travellers can suit their individual requirements. Mark Senior, a manager of Gulf Air, said the airline was the first Arabic airliner to launch a holiday programme to India. At a function to launch a brochure for the programme here Thursday, Senior said: "We expect Kerala to be the target destination. "About 50 percent of the travellers are expected to visit Kerala. The other destinations are - Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai." He said 50,000 copies of the new brochure would be distributed all across the Middle East. "We would be flying the India-bound tourist from the Middle East on our airlines. We expect the crowd to be a mix of expatriates, including Arabic women who are interested in the Ayurvedic package," said Senior. He said the airline expected to fly 1,000 passengers under the "Indian Experience" banner from November to next March. The programme is being handled by Gulf Air's holiday wing, Gulf Air Holidays
