BANGALORE: Gujarat government is wooing Bangalore's booming IT industry to set up shop in the state. "I am here (in Bangalore) to meet leaders of IT industry to know their success stories", Chief Minister Narendra Modi told reporters at the airport. He is slated to meet many IT leaders later on Friday. Asked how he would "convince" the industry to invest in Gujarat in view of "recurring violence", he said he did not try to convince through arguments. MoUs expressing interest to invest Rs 66,000 crore were signed during the recent Navaratri festival. "I think what else do we require to convince?", he asked. Modi also said that drawing from experience and vision of those successful in different walks of life was his style of functioning. "It's important to have a dialogue in a democracy. I meet leading lawyers, industrialists, scientists and journalists", he explained.
