Gujarat Riots: Zakia Jafri to get SIT Report in a Month

Bangalore: A Metropolitan court has directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Gujarat riots to hand over its report to Zakia Jafri within a month. The court denied giving activist Teesta Setalvad a copy of the same. Gujarat court said that all applications seeking copy of SIT report in the Gulberg society case will be dealt with only after probe panel submits complete report. All the documentary evidences and the articles seized by the Supreme Court appointed Special Investigating Team were submitted to the magisterial court along with the alleged closure report on Feb 11. According to SIT sources, the report is too big to be read by any person in a few days and it may take more time to read, which implies that the parties that have demanded certified copies of the report may have to wait for few more days to avail of them. Sources in SIT said that the report submitted to the court contains everything that has been collected by SIT since its inception.
