Kolkata: eBay India Motors, the largest online marketplace for the sale of second hand trucks, tractors, cars, bikes and other commercial vehicles in the country, has decided to enhance its focus on the bustling online transport industry in the eastern region. "East is the fastest growing market for eBay and the region has witnessed regular trade of heavy industrial vehicles. We are aiming to create the largest organised online vehicle market in India by providing a one-stop shop to dealers, entrepreneurs and to the corporate industry for the efficient sale of all types of used vehicles," eBay India Motors' director Amit Bhartiya said here Thursday. He said eBay has been successful in empowering over 10,000 dealers and entrepreneurs by providing them access to used vehicle inventory in neighbouring regions or even across states through its own platform. This has enabled the dealers to transform their local business into one that pans across multiple vehicle categories in India. "Our key goal will be to continue to transform conventional dealers, brokers and entrepreneurs across the country into successful online entrepreneurs within the used vehicle industry," Bhartiya said, adding that West Bengal, Assam and Orissa have emerged as the largest online hub for the light commercial vehicles market in India.
