Govt. to tax super rich with assorted taxes

HYDERABAD: Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has a novel way of filling up the government coffers. He has decided to tax the super rich with an assortment of unusual taxes.
"You are close to my budget ideas, "the FM remarked when asked if he was toying with the proposals made by the Left as a means of earning additional revenue and beating deficits.
"I have got the Left proposals with me, "he said. The communists had suggested the government to consider levying the super rich, and slap taxes on malls and extravagant weddings as a way of generating extra revenue.
