NEW DELHI:Government is taking steps to provide an effective and strong legal environment to ensure security of cyberspace, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan said Monday. He told an Indo-U.S. cyber security seminar that apart from constructing a robust legal framework, India was working in several directions of information security. Department of Information Technology had set up a Computer Emergency Response Team, which had acquired technical capabilities to become trusted referral agency to meet the needs of Indian cyber community, he said. "CERT-IN has developed capabilities in incident response and provides a range of services including risk analysis, alerts and announcements, education and training," he said. "Training of judiciary has been undertaken on priority and law enforcement agencies are trying to learn the intricacies of cyber investigations," he said.
