Bangalore: The rival services have protested against Google for copying the local business information in their site. The previous display was against the U.S antitrust investigation of its business practices. The largest internet search engine bowed down to the rivals and said they would no more carry the information from the other local web services. The rival service Yelp had complained that Google takes information from their website and use it in their snippet which is totally unfair. Yelp totally depends on the reviews and ratings from the audience and Google’s practice is said to be a great disadvantage to them. Google made the changes after the conference happened among the U.S state attorneys general. Many other states have also started their investigations into Google business practices. Now Google has removed the snippet where the information from other sources was posted in the place pages. The blog post of Google says “Rating and review counts reflect only those that have been written by fellow Google users.” “Google search engine should stop copying contents from the rival sites and action should taken for the previous practices for copying product reviews and other reviews posted by other sites” says a silicon valley lawer. The research and check will be done if Google has removed all the reviews and a deeper study will be done on this. The critics want the regulators to take very strict action against Google for their previous acts of copying the contents from other sites. The rivals and many other Google opponents want a court order to be given or an agreement with antitrust enforcers which doesn’t allow them to steal contents from other sites in future. They have a conception of Google being a largest search engine giant would never be bothered about these complaints. It would have proceeded doing this if they were never got caught as they are dominating the world of internet.
