NEW DELHI: Software product development services provider GlobalLogic said it has acquired San Francisco-headquartered global design and innovation consultancy firm Method for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will help GlobalLogic to better serve clients in social media, mobile commerce, IPTV, medical devices, and tablet computing segments, GlobalLogic said in a statement. Financials details of the transaction were not disclosed. Method solves business challenges through design thinking and creates inspired products, services and brand experiences that engage customers, the statement added. Its clients include Google, Nissan, Samsung, Nokia, Microsoft, Time Warner Cable, Nordstrom, TED, the BBC, and many others. "By adding Method's strong experience design and innovation capabilities to our core technology R&D offering, GlobalLogic is strongly positioned to help clients bring innovation to their customers," GlobalLogic CEO Peter Harrison said. Method will become a new business unit within GlobalLogic and will continue to operate under the Method name. Method founder and CEO Kevin Farnham will report to GlobalLogic President Shashank Samant. The acquisition of Method is the second by GlobalLogic in four months. In May this year, GlobalLogic had announced the acquisition of Rofous, a product and content engineering company of 1,500 people located in Hyderabad, India.
