Gemini to deploy CDMA hardware in 11 BSNL circles

Chennai: Gemini Communication(GCL), a 12.65-billion networking solutions company, has bagged a contract to install and commission telecom equipment and connected accessories in 11 Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) circles in India. The deployment will be completed by October 2007. The circles include the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Kerala. "The CDMA deployment will substantially enhance connectivity and clarity across India for BSNL subscribers and expand its mobile network," said GCL executive director Ram Kumar. The installation and commissioning include acceptance testing of various equipment and their connected accessories. The 12-year-old company has built a reputation for a wide spectrum of solution offerings. It employs 800 people in 90 locations across India and delivers turnkey and technology solutions with partnerships with leading technology companies around the world in LAN and WAN, computer telephony integration (CTI), network care products and services, and wireless and telecom solutions. Major clients of GCL include Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), BSNL, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Airtel, Idea Cellular and Reliance Telecom.
