Fujitsu unveils ScanSnap N1800 network scanner


Bangalore: Japan's computer major Fujitsu has launched the ScanSnap N1800, which the company claims to be the first network document scanner of its kind to offer linking features to Cloud services such as Google Docs, Salesforce CRM, and Evernote. Combining functionalities with ease of use, users can seamlessly scan and share documents without the need for complicated setup. Featuring a wide range of functions, ScanSnap N1800 reduces the hardware costs to an extent. The ScanSnap N1800 measures 300mm by 226mm by 172mm and has management consoles for managing multiple scanners, and also provides user and group specific scanning rights. It also comes with an onboard Installation Wizard enabling it to be set up in any office environment. Other major features include blank page removal, auto deskew and auto orientation which helps improve efficiency and precision of document management. The scanner transfers up to 40 images per minute (20 A4 sheets per minute, duplex) to the network and to existing business processes. It also boasts of advanced security features ensuring safe and secure operation among multiple users. With the growing trend of Internet-based IT networks, the ScanSnap N1800 is designed with network capabilities to meet today's demanding business needs.
