Fujitsu to unveil enterprise tablet with Windows 7 at CeBIT

Bangalore: Noting the need of security features in devices meant for enterprises, Japanese company Fujitsu is all set to unveil a tablet at the upcoming CeBIT Trade Show in Germany. The tablet, Stylistic Q550, scores high on security aspects and will run Windows 7 Professional, powered by an Intel Oak Trail Atom processor. The Stylistic Q550 will have a 10-inch LED touchscreen display, a fingerprint reader, front and rear cameras, an USB port, and option for 3G as well. Storage wise, the tablet will have the option of including 32GB or 64GB SSDs. The tablet works both with a stylus or fingers. There will be a SD card slot also in the device. Fujitsu addresses the issue of security by including the trusted-platform module (TPM) on the tablet. According to the company, the battery life of the Stylistic Q550 will be about eight hours, thanks to the low power processor and LED backlit screen. The Stylistic Q550 is expected to hit the European markets in the month of April after its formal showcasing next week in CeBIT. The price of the tablet has not been announced yet.
