KOLKATA: Promising to offer latest mobile handsets at reasonable rates, French mobile handset maker 'Sagem' has chalked out an aggressive strategy to penetrate into the Indian market. Sagem's entry comes hardly a few months after attempts of Chinese companies to make their presence felt in India with low priced sets. The company, which has entered Indian market with eight models, plans to bring in complete range of 15 models this year itself through their all India distributor Cenzer Industries Limited, a part of Cenzer Group. The company's cheapest model comes for Rs 3,299 while its recently launched new mobile phone equipped with video/voice recording, playback, Hi-Fi ringtones, Java enabled gaming and download options was priced at Rs 15,299. All the products were being sold with two year warranty and one-year insurance against theft.
