CHANDIGARH: France has invited leading entrepreneurs of the agro-processing industry in Punjab to organise road shows in his country to facilitate joint ventures in the Indian state. Bernard de Faubournet de Montferrand extended the invitation Thursday when he called on Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. Amarinder Singh told IANS: "I impressed upon the ambassador that Punjab has a tremendous potential for food processing industry. "A modest beginning has been made in this regard by setting up a modern food park in Patiala district on 30 acres of land in collaboration with key agro processing players of international repute." The chief minister assured the French envoy that his government would provide all possible assistance to promote trade and business between Punjab and France.
