Forbes award for Asian Paints

MUMBAI: Asian Paints is among 18 Indian companies to be awarded 'The Forbes Global-200 Best Under a Billion dollar companies in the World for 2003'. It is the only paint company in the world to be given this award, it said in a press release here. Forbes announced the awards in its issue of October 27. Asian Paints (India) Limited vice chairman and managing director Ashwin Dani will receive the award on behalf of the company from Christopher Forbes, chairman of Forbes Inc. on November 4 at Hong Kong's Island Shangri-La Hotel, the release said. Around 19,000 companies from all across the world, outside the U.S., were studied for their profitability, earnings and sales growth.
