Focus Infotech to further expand in US

Chennai: Focus Infotech, a Chennai-based IT company said it will expand its operations in US by opening another facility there. The company, which provides specialised manpower to leading IT companies like TCS, IBM and Infosys, already has two facilities in Chicago and Atlanta. It has invested over $500,000 for the third centre and targets a turnover of about $5 million from all the centres over the next two years. "The company will invest over $500,000 in expanding the US presence expects to generate $5 million in revenues over the next two years," Sadhana Somasekhar, director and chief marketing officer, Focus Infotech, told a press conference here. Citing the reasons for the expansion, she said: "The customers are increasingly asking us to be value-adding partners and not mere vendors and secondly, they are keen that we follow them across the globe. "They want us to provide the same service and value addition. It fits in with our strategy of being a global player in this niche space and also allows us to expand our revenues significantly within our existing customer base." Somasekhar said the move would also allow the company greater penetration in the US market
