Emeryville: Fliqz, a provider of plug-and-play video solutions, has received $6 million in Series C funding round led by Triangle Peak Partners, LP and joined by existing investor Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV). Fliqz, which has more than 35,000 online video publishers using its platform, will use the funds for product development, international expansion and ongoing growth of its already robust sales organization. 2008 has witnessed broad acceleration in the adoption of online video, with thousands of companies incorporating video into their marketing mix. "The adoption of video by web sites of all sizes marks the single greatest change in the online landscape since the ubiquitous adoption of email and web sites in the mid - 1990's. Plug-and-play solutions are fueling this growth by removing the technical and financial barriers to mass adoption," said Benjamin Wayne, CEO of Fliqz. The Fliqz platform enables sites to integrate customized video solutions. A complete application set provides end-to-end tools for the capture, management, moderation, tracking, and monetization of video assets.
