The world's largest software maker Microsoft has identified three security holes in its programs. The company reports that this security glitch could be harmful for consumers. It added that hackers could use them to take ownership of personal computers of users. This revelation comes as a part of Microsoft’s process - The second Tuesday of every month it discloses security holes discovered in its programs and issues patches to fix them. For this time the flaws were discovered in the company's Excel spreadsheet program, Outlook e-mail software and Internet Explorer Web browser. As per the company’s report these flaws were “critical” a category for vulnerabilities posing the greatest danger. Microsoft mentioned this on its Web site, reports Bloomberg. The company gave the less severe rating of “important'” to a fourth security hole affecting the grammar checker of the Brazilian Portuguese version of its Office 2003 software. That flaw can't be triggered without user interaction, Microsoft said. Microsoft's security advisory and related software patches can be found on its site.
