Fashionandyou Raises $40 million in Series C round of Funding

Gurgaon: Gurgaon-based, online shopping site Fashionandyou.com has raised $40 million in series C round of funding from Norwest Venture Partners and Intel Capital, and saw the participation of Nokia Growth Partners and existing investors Sequoia Capital. In the past, fashionandyou.com had raised funds from European and Indian private investors in series A, and had raised $8 million from Sequoia Capital in Series B round of funding. Fashionandyou.com plans to use the funds for expanding into additional categories and make strategic acquisitions to complement the existing businesses.
Fashionandyou.com was founded in 2010 by Pearl Uppal, backed by Harish Bahl, Founder, Smile Group. The company is owned by Smile Group Venture and Goldsquare Sales India. Pearl Uppal, Founder and CEO, fashionandyou.com has worked as the Director of Sales, Regional sales manager and Key account manager at Yahoo! She did her MBA in Technology Management and Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Intel capital?s vision is to be the preeminent global investing organization in the world.
