Extreme Networks expands R&D center in Chennai

Chennai: Extreme Networks,a provider of software engineering, quality assurance and network management application development plans to ramp up their operations in India. The Indian subsidiary of the American based company added another R&D center in Chennai spread over 10,000 square feet
and housing around 75 people.
Mary Koshy, General Manager, Extreme India said that the company plans to hire 20 engineers this year to take the total headcount from 90 to around 120 adding that the R&D center would focus on the design and delivery of enterprise wide systems and solutions to extend and enhance worldwide
business operations.
"A good number of engineers from our first center will move to the new location," said Chief Information Officer and VP marketing Paul Hooper, Extreme Networks Inc.
