MUMBAI: Trade Minister, Kamal Nath, said on Tuesday that the government was expecting exports to grow to $92 billion in the financial year to March 2006.
"We have set a target of $92 billion and we hope to achieve that," Nath said.
In the last financial year, merchandise exports were worth $80 billion, while the trade deficit widened to a record $26.5 billion as imports outpaced exports in a robustly growing economy.
