Ex-chief of HSBC Aman Mehta joins Wockhardt board

MUMBAI: Aman Mehta, former chief executive of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), has joined the board of pharma major Wockhardt Ltd. The appointment of Mehta, as independent director, is in line with Wockhardt's commitment to corporate governance, company chairman Habil Khorakiwala said in a release here today. Mehta, whose last position was as chief executive of HSBC at Hong Kong, is a member of the governing board of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He is also a director of PCCW Hong Kong Telecom Ltd, Hong Kong.
