Enterasys names Gallagher to Board

ANDOVER: Enterasys Networks Inc. (NYSE:ETS) announced Thursday the appointment of Michael Gallagher, President of Flarion Technologies, to the Enterasys Board of Directors. Gallagher brings to Enterasys over 17 years of experience in management and sales and marketing at leading telecommunications companies. As president of Flarion, Gallagher leads the Company's global vision of customer adoption through strategic vendor and licensing relationships with current and future wireless infrastructure suppliers. His responsibilities include building world-class deployment, customer service and support organizations. Flarion enables licensed mobile operators to profitably offer Internet Protocol (IP)-based broadband services. "We are extremely pleased to have Mike join the Board of Directors," said Bill O'Brien, CEO and Director of Enterasys Networks. "Mike's knowledge and industry experience will be a great asset to Enterasys as we continue to execute on our strategic initiatives to drive the Company forward." Prior to his role at Flarion, Gallagher was Senior Vice President for Worldwide Sales and Operations for Nortel Networks' IP Services business unit, building a global and dedicated IP-centric sales force for over 300 sales and SEs, reaching a $200 million revenue goal in less than 15 months. Mr. Gallagher joined Nortel from Bay Networks where he served as Senior Vice President of the Company's North American sales operations. During his tenure, Gallagher focused on service providers and enterprise customers, increasing sales nearly ten-fold, from $180 million in 1990, to over $1.6 billion in 1998. Gallagher holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Fordham University and an MBA from Pace University.
