Bangalore: A heavyweight Egyptian delegation of IT companies is wooing the Indian industry to help it promote itself as a regional hub. The offer also includes cooperation and collaboration on various projects. This was conveyed at a meeting hosted by Nasscom on Thursday in Hyderabad. Egypt is keen to promote itself as an ideal destination for Indian It services and BPO companies. Thanks to the Egyptian government's steps to slash customs and duties to promote its IT sector, the country is home to global corporations such as Microsoft, Alcatel, Siemens, Oracle and others. Apart from the engineering skills, Egypt also has a sound base for multi-lingual professionals, making it an ideal destination for call center services. It also provides a sound base for the Indian companies to tap the Arab markets.
